LIP BLUSH

It is recommended that clients may take an anti-viral medication each time they receive a lip procedure. Although you may not have a history of cold sores, the Herpes Simplex Virus could still be present in your body without being active. It is possible that a cold sore outbreak could be triggered by the procedure and may cause loss of pigmentation, scarring and undesirable results. Prior to your appointment you will need to inform your physician that you are getting permanent cosmetics applied to your lips and obtain a prescription for anti-viral medication. Take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. Examples of antiviral medications include: Zovirax, Famvir, and Valtrex. Your doctor may also not recommend taking anti-virals for this procedure. Previous history to cold sores does not mean you will get a cold sore but a possibility.

  • Please allow 6 weeks in between lip fillers before or after this procedure.

  • Must wait 6 months after lip implant and get written clearance from your surgeon.

  • Prior to your appointment exfoliate your lips for 7 days with a lip scrub and keep lips moisturized.

Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

HOW TO EXFOLIATE YOUR LIPS AT HOME

    1. Combine equal parts of sugar and (honey, Vaseline or coconut oil) in a dish.

    2. Dip your cotton swab into the mixture.

    3. Wet your lips with water and exfoliate in circular motions. Be careful not to scrub too harshly.

    4. Wipe off any excess exfoliator with a clean tissue or soft cloth, then follow up with a moisturizing lip balm or Vaseline.

For a week, after getting out of the shower, use a towel to scrub lips gently to remove dry, dead skin.

Please review the Consent Form before your appointment.
